One catch, so nobody is surprised later. Signing up gives you an account, not a balance. Money, bonuses and payment methods sit a step further on, after you choose to deposit, and that part is covered on other 99Exch pages.

Everything below happens on the phone you register with, which is the whole point of the 99Exch sign up: the account is tied to that number from the first minute.

After that point you are a 99Exch customer with an account and nothing in it yet. Signing in uses the username you were sent; the OTP you typed today was for proving the number, not a password you need to remember. Probably the most common mix-up, that one.
A 99Exch account can come from you or from the desk, and the end product is identical. What differs is who does the typing.
You type the mobile number, enter the OTP and press Register. You see each step happen, and the code proves the number belongs to you before anything is created.

On 99exchlogin.com.in, pick Get ID or WhatsApp. Your name and mobile number go in next, followed by the OTP that arrives by text. Pressing Register passes it to 99Exch support, who create the account and message the username to that number by SMS or WhatsApp.
It is free. Nothing is billed for the form, the OTP text or the username 99Exch sends back. The first rupee you spend is a deposit, and that is optional, a later choice made from inside the account rather than any part of registering.
The OTP proves the mobile number is yours. 99Exch texts a one-time code to the number you entered, and typing it back ties the new account to that phone. If the code does not arrive, check the digits you typed, then ask the desk on WhatsApp for a fresh one.
You must be 18 or older to open a 99Exch account. The short registration form has no separate age screen, so confirming you are an adult is on you when you enter your number. Anyone younger than 18 should not register or play on the site at all.
